gone to the dogs....: October 2005

precious angels...

here are pictures from the last week or so -- the puppies are growing - though haven't even hit 5 lbs yet and are over 8 weeks old!! this is crazy compared to the akita pups who were over 10 lbs at 6 weeks old!!!!!!!

we went to the vet today and they got their distemper shot - the vet thinks they might be beagle mixes too but says you never can tell with these little mixed puppies.

they are still just as cute as they were when i got them -- come over and visit them - bring your kids - they need to hang out with more people than "momma jel"

p.s. baby huey found his voice and will now put his paw on my foot, look at me beseechingly and do a little "woof!" to tell me that he needs to be held and snuggled.

this is why this dog is perfect -- he JUST wants to be near you - to sleep, to give you a kiss occasionally, to stare soulfully into your eys........

they love to sleep in piles -- i've donated the holey afghan to them...

i mean look at this - how could you not just melt --- baby huey is my little miracle pup....don't one of you want him? i can't let him leave my life....he's too close to being the most perfect dog i've ever had near me.....

MORE PUPPIES!!!!

on a whim, i e-mailed paige in response to her call for urgent fosters and went to her home in kennesaw on thursday to pick up 2 puppies. well, i came home with 3.

and they are precious angels. itty bitty tiny -- i can hold all 3 in my 2 hands...they're just over 6 weeks old but are the size of the akita pups at 3 weeks. their names are baby huey (boy), baby girl, and baby cakes (girl) -- they're from the "cocoa" litter and the whole litter has "baby" names.

these are such good puppies. they attached to me as "momma" within a few hours and come to my voice always - they just want to play and snuggle and eat and sleep -- as puppies often do.

come visit and play with my angels while i have them (probably 2-3 weeks!!).
